Step 1: Find a location and get your land ready

Finding the best location is very important for your garden! A lot of plants need 6-8 hours of sunlight to thrive. As well, you want to try to find a flat area of land because it will be much easier to work with. You might want to think about an area that is close to a water spigot so it is easier for you to water it daily. However, don't worry if you don't have all of these things! If you have special circumstances, you just want to make sure you find the right plants for your condition!

Next, you're going to want to set up your bed for planting. First, you should clear the area. Then, it is best if you plant in a raised bed. Here is a website that shows you what to get and how to do it! Click here for the link! Now that this is ready you want to make sure you have the right kind of soil. You should find an organic soil material, and you can buy it at your local nursery. Now you want fertilizer to help your plants grow. Click here for the link. Then, you are really going to want to work the soil around so that you can mix all of the organic material in the soil around.

Some great resources are Gardeners Supply Company and Down to Earth Organic and Natural.

You also need to have a good system for watering the garden. Click here for the perfect irrigation system for your garden

Now that you are all ready you can move onto the next step!
